Olawale, Rotimi Opeyemi is a leading African agric entrepreneur, recognised young leader in Africa’s agric sector and international speaker who has addressed global audience at high level meetings of various institutions such as The Commonwealth, Harvard, Wilton Park, African Union, UN FAO Africa, ILO, Switzerland Government, MIT among others.
He is the founder and CEO of JR Farms Limited (registered in Massachusetts, Nigeria and Rwanda), a leading agribusiness in Africa determined to transform Agriculture in Africa by undertaking opportunities for growth and business that will engender sustainable food production and increased incomes for farmers in Africa. JR Farms has agribusiness operations in Cassava value chain and Coffee value chain. Recently, Olawale led JR Farms into a partnership with Zambian National Cassava Association to commence garri production in Zambia to feed millions of children and adult in Zambia.
Olawale champions agric initiatives with social impacts such as Inmates Farming Scheme- first of such in history of Nigerian Prisons; farmers’ cooperatives supporting 93 farmers in Nigeria and over 500 cocoa farmers in Ivory Coast through local partners. Through his initiatives in the agric sector in Africa, he has created several jobs and mentored hundreds of young Africans in DRC, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Rwanda, Ghana and other parts of Africa respectively.
Olawale holds a Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Philosophy of Religion; he also holds certificate in Agribusiness Management Programme from the Lagos Business School. He recognised across Africa in the agric space; he has featured on several interviews and received many awards in recognition of his achievements in the agric sector and rural economy in Africa.
