Nigeria, as a country, has over 85 million arable hectares of land, a population of over 200 million people, and rainfall patterns that are favourable to agriculture.
As the government realises the necessity to diversify from the crude oil sector to a more viable sector, agriculture has constantly come up as it has the most feasible potential for Nigeria.
As the minister for Agriculture assumes office, farmers, professionals, and other stakeholders have shared ideas on steps that can be taken to fully utilize the potential in the Agricultural sector.
Our CEO, Mr. Olawale Rotimi, has stated that “the incoming minister will have to turbo-charge the sector by facilitating extensive collaborations with the private sector to drive growth in the sector, which will lead to increased food production, jobs, and revenue".
